A community dedicated to advancing digital education through research, collaboration, and open discussion.

Our Mission

DigitalEd@VT (Digital Education at Virginia Tech) brings together researchers, educators, and students interested in how technology transforms teaching and learning. We explore topics ranging from AI-assisted learning to educational software, from learning analytics to innovative classroom technologies.

We host research presentations (where students, faculty, and invited speakers share their work), reading groups (where we discuss recent papers from venues like SIGCSE, ICER, and CHI), and writing & feedback sessions (collaborative sessions scheduled around major venue deadlines to support each other's submissions).

When We Meet

Seminar Series

Research talks, work-in-progress presentations, and invited speakers sharing their expertise in educational technology.

Reading Group

Discussions of recent papers from educational technology conferences and journals. Come prepared to engage with the material!

Writing & Feedback

Collaborative sessions scheduled as needed around major venue deadlines to support group writing and constructive feedback.

Seminars and reading groups alternate weekly, with writing sessions scheduled as needed
